Breaking News - Breaking News.

"Today I have been informed by the owner of the Grand Central that the building has been SOLD! The new owners will be changing the whole building in to an amusement complex and restaurant.

Obviously this impacts and affects our plans for any future Weekender events and I am pleased to announce that we are returning to our original venue, The Grosvenor House Hotel, the spiritual home of the Skegness Weekender. The return will happen in September 2016 (23rd, 24th & 25th). The format will be 2 rooms: Main Ballroom - Classics and Floorfillers and The Vault - Rare, Underplayed, and Crossover.

More Info will be forthcoming over the next few days and weeks. Please be assured that in any event we will still be able to offer you a weekend of Northern and Rare soul with that unique 'Skeggy' atmosphere. Looking forward to seeing you all in 2016."

One addition for this return to the Grosvenor Hotel is a special 'after-the-session' chill in the coffee bar.

at 06:00 on Sunday morning one can pop into the coffee lounge for a chat with friend and like-minded people to the background of Deep Soul, Beat Ballards and Mellow Grooves provided by collectors of such soulful tunes.

The session will be from 06:00 on Sunday until 12:00..... a pefect way to end an all-nighter.

The Cat's Whiskers Thursday warm up wession shall take place in the Vault between 8:00 and 01:00.

The Cat's Whiskers is where one gets to hear tunes that are not top 500 and rarely get plays in 'Big Rooms' but are none-the-less pure northern/modern and or RnB soul.

Free entry to the Cat's Whiskers if one has tickets for the weekender.
